Characterizing initial- and final-state effects of relativistic nuclear collisions

چکیده

The Multi-Phase Transport model (AMPT) is used to study the final state effects on Symmetric Correlations (SC), Asymmetric (ASC), Normalized (NSC), and (NASC) in Au+Au collisions at 200~GeV. correlators' sensitivity non-flow associated with long- short-range correlations are also discussed using HIJING model. results indicate that SC, ASC, NSC, NASC can give accompanying constraints for initial effects. In addition, conducting further detailed experimental measurements spanning a broad range of collision systems beam energies will serve as an additional constraint theoretical models' calculations.

Initial state fluctuations and final state collectivity in high energy nuclear collisions: Status and Outlook

We review recent developments in the theoretical description of the initial state and collective dynamics in heavy ion and light-heavy ion collisions. After describing the current state of the art in event by event simulations of high energy nuclear collisions we will focus on open issues. These include early time non-equilibrium dynamics, small collision systems (p+p, p+A), hydrodynamic fluctu...

A Unified description of final state and initial state interactions in heavy ion collisions

We calculate the classical gluon field of a fast projectile passing through a dense medium. We show that this allows us to calculate both the initial state gluon production in proton-nucleus collisions and the final state gluon radiation off a hard parton produced in nucleus-nucleus collisions. This unified description of these two phenomena makes the relation between the saturation scale Qs an...

Coulomb Effects on Particle Spectra in Relativistic Nuclear Collisions

Coulomb effects on π± and K± spectra in relativistic nuclear collisions are investigated. At collision energies around 1 GeV the ratio of π− to π is enhanced several times at low transverse momenta but less at ultrarelativistic energies. We describe the ratios at SIS, AGS and SPS energies with simple analytic models as well as more elaborate numerical models incorporating the expansion dynamics...

Three-pion Interferometry of Relativistic Nuclear Collisions

Three-pion interferometry is investigated for new information on the spacetime structure of the pion source created in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions. The twoand three-pion correlations are numerically computed for incoherent source functions based on the Bjorken hydrodynamical model, over a wide range of the kinematic variables. New information provided by threepion interferometry, di...

Novel QCD Effects from Initial and Final State Interactions

Initial-state and final-state interactions which are conventionally neglected in the parton model, have a profound effect in QCD hard-scattering reactions. The effects, which arise from gluon exchange between the active and spectator quarks, cause leading-twist single-spin asymmetries, diffractive deep inelastic scattering, diffractive hard hadronic reactions, and the breakdown of the Lam-Tung ...
